The Kid Stays in the Picture
One of my favorite documentaries is The Kid Stays in the Picture, about legendary Hollywood producer Robert Evans, directed by my friend Brett Morgan. Its a great movie about movies, ambition and Hollywood culture. The movie, which relies heavily on archive footage and still images, introduces animation techniques that bring still photos to life. This technique is still innovative 7 years after the movie came out.
I love this movie. And when I passed by Robert Evans office on the Paramount lot the other day, I could not help but snap a picture.
